Description
When we moved to Perthshire in October 2022 we discovered many wonderful walks, right on our doorstep, including one that took us up Craig Gibbon hill. Hidden in the trees, on the hill, is an Obelisk that was erected in the 1800’s by Colonel Mercer, a monument to allow him to look out over his estate from all four sides.
My interpretation of this obelisk, in true Silverpickle style, is a small, gold 3D hand carved heart propped on a chunky crescent moon. The little heart is rounded and approximately 5mm in height and is solid 9ct yellow gold. The moon was hand carved in wax and then cast in solid sterling silver.
The moon measures 20mm in length and 18mm at its widest point. The total length, including the bail, of the pendant is 28mm. The pendant weighs in at 7.3g and is hallmarked in Edinburgh.
This is a lovely chunky and tactile piece and the chain is an 18″ solid sterling silver curb chain.
This necklace will arrive in a Silverpickle gift box, tied with ribbon and includes a little polishing cloth.
