Amethyst Circle Necklace

This Amethyst has been in my gemstone collection for a long time. I would often take it out, stroke it and put it backfor another day. Such a deep and beautiful purple. I decided it was time to turn it into something that someone would hopefully love.
The Amethyst is 15mm in diameter, set in a rub over setting and I kept to the circular shape and used lines for texture for the solid sterling silver base plate. The pendant measures 25mm in diameter and I added a back mounted U shaped bail for the jump rings to go through for the chain. The chain itself is an 18″ chunky ball chain, solid sterling silver.
Total weight, including chain, 15.6g. Pendant weight 9g.
Hallmarked in Edinburgh.
