I just don’t think you can beat a piece of jewellery that is made entirely by hand.
Every piece of this necklace has been forged from sterling silver wire, including the hook closure.
Designed to sit around the collar bone this necklace is chunky but looks almost delicate with its oval links. Each oval link has been made out of 2mm thick solid sterling silver wire, making it a substantial piece. The oval links have been flattened slightly by a hammer and measure approximately 18mm x 15mm (approximate because each one is handmade so there is a slight variation). These oval links are held together in a chain by smaller round handmade jump rings that have been made out of 1.5mm thick solid sterling silver wire. These jump rings measure approximately 8mm in diameter. The hook and circle closure has been made from 1.8mm thick solid sterling wire.
The total length of this necklace is 17.5″ (44.5cm), end to end, and its complete weight is 39.4g of solid sterling silver.
