“Arun” is a male name, which is associated with the warm colours of the morning sky; “symbolising the dawn that preceeds the sun”. How lovely is that?

There are two connections to the word for me. One is my love of sunrises, it is the visual start of a new day, a spectacular sight that I have been treated to regularly while living in rural Perthshire. Each day begins in a different way and I am mesmerised every clear morning.  And, of course, as many of you know – my Son is called Aaron. This naming of a product is probably as close as I will ever get to naming a piece of my jewellery after him! Just don’t tell him though!

The original heart was carved by hand in wax before being sandcast in solid sterling silver in my workshop. A purely organic shape with a beautiful flow and soft, tactile edges. Each Arun Heart measures 20mm x 18mm and weighs approximately 2.3g.  My original wax carving broke into three pieces but my first cast was successful, it is now my much more durable master for all my future casts.

Three Arun hearts are stung on a 24″ chunky solid sterling silver Belcher chain and they are really eye catching.  I love the power of three, I wear my trio of Arun hearts when I am not working and I am so excited to share them with you.  I know some of you might like more than three hearts so you can add an extra heart or two to your basket if you want more than three.
