Feather Necklace

I get a lot of custom orders that include feathers in some shape or form. They are great fun to make and I love the fact that no two are the same, like snowflakes.
This feather pendant has been hand cut out of 1.5mm thick sterling silver sheet and measures 50mm in length x 10mm in width. I used 1.5mm thick wire to creat the rachis in the centre of the feather and used it to create the bail at the top, making the total length of the feather and bail 70mm. The total weight of the feather is 10.6g.
The feather hangs from a chunky 2.5mm thick sterling silver ring, I also attached two jumprings to this circle for the chunky 18″ sterling silver Belcher chain to run through.
Hallmarked in Edinburgh.
