I think I might have a casting addiction!  I spent ages one day, sitting out in the sunshine, with a flattened pebble of silver and some needle files.  I worked away at carving the perfect heart out of the centre of the pebble then smoothed the whole lot down with sandpaper until it was gorgeous and tactile.  The plan was for a pendant but it seemed like the perfect item to be cast and I then decided the cast discs would make stunning earrings.

The flattened pebbles measure 13mm x 16mm and are lovely and chunky at 2mm thick.  Each earring weighs 4.4g. I have hung them from handmade rings, made out of 1.8mm thick round wire, that have been flattened slightly with a hammer.  The rings and the pebble are attached by a jumpring that has been soldered closed.  The total length, from the top of the hook to the bottom of the pebble is 40mm.
