Rings for Things with 9ct Gold

£140.00

2023 was the big ’50’ year for myself and many of my very close friends.  Leisa, my best friend from my impressionable teenage years and early 20’s, is not a huge jewellery wearer but I wanted to make her something special that she could keep, and hopefully wear, forever.  I am delighted to say this pendant hit the spot and my friend loves to wear it.

I liked the idea of representing the five decades in some way and decided to revisit a timeless design I had used for a custom order I made a good few years ago.  This circle pendant is small but eyecatching and I wanted to make a chunkier version than I had made before.  The pendant I made my friend actually had solid 9ct yellow gold rings on the base circle.  The nice thing about this pendant is it can be used to represent many things….Children, Grandchildren, Husbands (ha ha).

The base circle of the pendant is 2.5mm thick solid sterling silver round wire, which has been line textured on one side and left smooth on the reverse, and it measures approximately 16mm in diameter.  There are six chunky handmade rings  (one of which is a sterling silver ring for the chain to run through at the top) and other five rings are designed to freely rotate the base circle.  The little rings are made out of 1.5mm thick round wire and each one is handmade and hammered flat to give it a squared off look. This necklace has three sterlings silver rings and two solid 9ct yellow gold rings. The little rings are approximately 7mm in diameter.

The chain I have chosen to use for this pendant is a solid sterling silver Curb Chain and the length is 18″.

Material – solid sterling silver and solid 9ct yellow gold.

Hallmarked in Edinburgh.

Only one like this is available and it is ready to post.

This Rings for Things pendant arrives in a Silverpickle gift box, tied with ribbon and includes a little polishing cloth.
