My original Highland Heart pendant has been one of my most popular signature pieces and it gets so many compliments.  Following a few requests for a larger heart to be worn on a longer chain I got to work carving a new, larger Highland Heart.

The open heart form appears in a lot of my pieces, from earrings to bangle charms, but the Highland Heart pendant has an bit of an ‘organic’ look to it.  The heart has rounded edges and comes with some gentle carving marks left over from the wax carving process.  This is an open heart that has a rustic feel and a really lovely weight to it.

The addition of the bail to the top keeps it in place on the chain, rather than the chain going through the heart, and I think it really adds to the piece.  The heart measures 18mm x 32mm (38mm length with the bail) and its total weight is 8g making it the perfect larger pendant.  The chain is a chunky solid sterling silver Belcher Chain and is 24″ in length.  Polished finish.
